Lots of rain over the previous few days
A duplicate test of the same sample was performed this month. Results were the same - 8 (>620ppm).
The water level in the creek was very low which I am assuming accounts for the very high reading(?).
mixed rain and snow the previous 24 hours
It had snowed the previous Sunday (5 days earlier). The date of the observation coincided with the first precipitation since the snow. Probably accounts for the spike in the chloride levels from the previous reading (more than doubling).
