Dragonflies and butterflies around but I didn't see any birds or fish this time.
Observed red winged blackbirds, plenty of small-bodied fish in the water, and crayfish.

This location and Lake Dore are great spots to find dragonflies and dragonfly larvae. These red dragonflies are very common.

I took my water sample from an area shaded by a large maple so the river might have been even warmer than 26.4C. The water was moving quite well which was weird since there was no wind whatsoever and I've never witnessed this area of water really "move". It is usually calm.
There were plenty of red-winged blackbirds chatting in the nearby tall grasses.

Beautiful sunset and warm. Water was very clear.
Samples were taken to compare water quality above the Shaw Woods Dam and to that of samples taken below. Data collected for analysis on the health of the Snake River and if the dam is effecting fish populations by restricting migratory patterns.
