Bell Vale Lane

Wey

Haslemere, West Sussex, United Kingdom

Bell Vale Lane on the border of the South Downs National Park. It is close to the A286 (Midhurst Road), but upstream. Above this point in the catchment there is only a small lane with, perhaps 20 or 30 large houses. The recent beaver reintroduction (enclosed) is also upstream from here.

Since the previous testing here many of the middle-age oaks have been felled creating a more open site. During the process the people and equipment have cleared the banks somewhat and exposed rubbish and litter built up over many years. The river itself seems not to be directly affected.
