Measured immediately after 2 kayaks turned in the site
Lock gates open, no floating debris
Regular paddleboards,kayaks and narrowboats due to summer season. Test completed immediately after paddleboards, kayaks left site
No evidence of sewage but more natural debris probably from higher water levels bringing more soil etc downstream from banks etc
Saw 7 fish, 3 one side of lock, 4 the other
Stormy weather 72 hours ago, more branches etc in river
Test completed within 5 minutes of boat passing through lock
Damselfly nearby. An angler mentioned dace, carp, pike in River Wey and chub,barbel in Hells Ditch regularly
Fish not observed today but seen by local boat owners
Observations completed immediately downstream of lock gates and also opposote boathouse with same results. Fish photo taken last week, have heard from anglers that there are bigger fish along the stretch. There are paddleboarders and canal boat traffic daily at the moment.
