Tiawasee Creek

This location is on the south side of the Tiawasee Creek, east of the Bayview Drive bridge. Whenever there is a heavy rain, raw sewage flows from the manhole and directly into the creek. This is the main sewer line that leads to the Daphne Waste Water Plant. (29280 N. Main Street, Daphne, AL 36526). The flow has been so great that a 2'deep gully eroded into the creek bank. The sewer department back filled this gully with riprap. A spill occurs at this location several time every year. The sewer department is aware of this problem.
