A beautiful day at Bates Lake. A duck with two ducklings was visible on the lake, nearby species included a mature bald eagle and killdeer. Students noticed some evidence of pollution near the lake - tires.
Student groups collected and tested data. Hardness values varied as did alkalinity results.
