Lake Ontario

Confederation Basin Marina is in the heart of historic downtown Kingston. The marina is close to theatre, shopping, restaurants, museums and nightlife. Kingston is in a unique location where the Rideau River and Lake Ontario meet and flow into the St. Lawrence River and is renowned as the fresh-water sailing capital of North America.

A new promenade is planned to be constructed at confederation basis. This promenade is expected to have access to water for primary recreational usage. Swim Drink Fish is monitoring the water here to ensure that this water will meet standards for primary recreational usage.
