View all photosWater very high, some of the footpaths by the lake were flooded - but of course it is Flood Meadows!
River high with recent rain, flowing fast and steadily.
Water still low after dry spell, but increasing.
Chalk river, so usually alkaline, but these results are not normal for this location.
River was dry at this location last month, but there has been heavy rain off and on for some days so the water in the stream is probably mainly rainwater rather than spring water. Also there was a lot of water coming from a storm drain just above the location which would also be rainwater.
There was also a lot of mud coming through the storm drain, this made the water cloudy in parts.
Has the same algae as 19/3/2023 Flood Meadows observation upstream of bridge (#10405).
Land drain from meadows comes into the river near the observation point.
