Grenadier Island

Sandy, rocky bottomed natural shoreline, covered in thick mats of Chara algae. There are trees falling into the water due to an eroding shore but they create habitat and protection for fish species.

Plants: SEDGE, floating arrowhead.
Fish: finescale dace, rockbass, alewife, banded killifish, bluntnose minnow, largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, yellow perch, brown bullhead, tadpole madtom, tubenose goby, round goby

Invasive species: round and tubenose gobies, alewife.

Fish: Pugnose shiners (18 total!), largemouth bass, rock bass, bluntnose minnows, round goby.
Plants: Richardsons pondweed, valonia algae, bullrush, chara algae, nitellopsis algae, rushes, typha, sago, water nymph.
Birds: Common loon, Common tern, Double crested cormorant, Swan (mute or trumpeter?).
Species at risk: Pugnose shiners
Invasive species: round goby, nitellopsis algae, (mute swan?)
