WWF-Canada's office in Iqaluit lends out Water Ranger kits and organizes community water testing days through the summer. Feel free to borrow a kit and add data as part of our group! Contact us at riversnorth@wwfcanada.org to borrow one.
Water testing protocol
So far we've been testing for:
- Conductivity
- all the tests on the pH strip
- Oxygen levels
- air and water temperature
We have not been testing Secchi depth, as many of the creeks around Iqaluit are very shallow, and for the lakes there are no docks, and we haven't gone out in any boats yet. Feel free to do so if you like though!
