About
Due to a projected drastic population increase in the town of Perth, students at PDCI have decided to begin a 5 year environmental stewardship program. Starting in June, of 2025, using the Water Ranger Kits, students will begin testing the Tay River annually. Mr. Bell and Mlle. Fisher's classes will carefully monitor water quality and biodiversity changes that may be a direct result of anthropogenic factors.
By using their yearly findings and comparing their data to previous years, classes will create a yearly environmental action plan to address their areas of concern.
Water testing protocol
Groups will be measuring water quality as well as biodiversity.
