Notes

Weather is warm and sunny. A lot of activity down by the river. Canada Geese are present in large numbers. Mallard ducks, redwing blackbirds, robins, and even sandhill cranes are out today.

The river is still low. Large ice pieces, riverbergs, are drifting past.

Wading along the bank has revealed an abundance of activity. There are many Ephemeroptera (mayflies) in the water. Also small fish, minnows?, swimming in the shallow water.
