Notes

As already reported there has been a known misconnection on this S.W.O ever since I've been water monitoring but Thames water had been unable to resolve the problem but have investigated previously.

On 26/6/25 there was possible sewage fungus but the problem worsened significantly on 4/7/25, when there was sewage smelling discoloured water discharging from the S.W.O into Kyd Brook even though it was and had been dry. These were all reported and Thames water investigated that evening.

Today there was signs still of pollution, please see the picture of discoloured water but I haven't reported it because it's being dealt with and the ammonia levels are not high.

Thames water are still in a nearby residential road and some unfortunate residents are having parts of their gardens dug up as the pipe has collapsed and is leaching into the surface water pipe and needs replacing. There is a tanker 24hrs a day on site pumping when necessary which is causing understandable disturbance. To date there is no end date on when works will be completed.

From an observer of events certain things have amazed me.
The gardens are being dug by hand when there is access for a digger.
Residents are being told that once a pipe has been replaced, then cameras will go back in to check if there is any further problems, hence no timescale on when works will be completed.
The residents are being amazing as they obviously want this problem to be resolved but can't wait for it it be over, understandably.
