Some sunshine. The last couple of days have been the warmest. It's been quite cold here for the past couple of weeks with the temps running -17 degrees C at night.

Most of February had been quite cold and I was concerned the creek would be totally frozen. Fortunately the last couple of days had temps above freezing. There was a gap in the ice just large enough for me to drop the sampling pail into. Since I took the sample last week, we have had warmer weather, but who knew.
