Notes
Smell of petrol. Oily scum seemed to stop upstream of the test site so assume it must have come from the outfall pipe. Reported by telephone to Environment Agency and on website to Thames Water who later texted saying 'we visited to clear a blockage and after a full investigation we found our sewer lines to be clear'. This was irrelevant to the complaint and I have no idea if they really visited.
There was some sign of ceremonial use, fresh flowers floating from upstream.
