Private dock at Stinson acreage at the bottom of a small wooded coulee with native prairie on either side. Water is still. Water drops off quickly further out where the old river channel used to be before the dam was built.

Lots of minnows observed in the water
Large toad spotted a few days earlier on the coulee trail down to the water
There was visible blue-green algae alogn the shore and on the dock a few days ago, but only green algae visible now. One snail seen
One pelican flew over
One crow flew over
Some clumps of algae forming in the water, attaching to floating pieces of cattail stem
Seem to be more flowering prairie plants on the hillside than previous years, including some healthy flowering pincusion cacti
Two Canada geese flew by shortly after arriving. Three pelicans flew by low to the water as we wrapped up. Water had a slight brownish tint.
