Blakeburn Lagoons

Ice starting to form at some areas in lagoon with recent cooling trend.

Birds observed/heard in local area around sampling site included: Black-capped chickadees, American crows, Canada geese (flying overhead), Red-tailed hawk, and American Robins.

Water in this lagoon pond was somewhat clearer than in west lagoon pond. A few waterfowl observed near sampling site, including mallards and hooded mergansers ducks.

Very limited amount of waterfowl observed on east lagoon adjacent to observation platform and monitoring site.

Very little evidence of waterfowl or shorebirds on or around east lagoon

Limited number of waterfowl on east lagoon. Variety of songbirds in area.

Just a few waterfowl seen on East lagoon with a fair amount of songbirds heard in adjacent shrubs.

Continued high water levels observed at east lagoon

Note: testing done during rainy weather. Very little waterfowl seen on pond. One Great Blue Heron perched on wildlife tree adjacent to pond. High water levels.

Testing done during atmospheric river event with extremely high water level in pond.

Small amount of waterfowl observed at pond edges.
