Father & son from Montreal fishing off the dock jsut catching some little fish. Spitting rain a bit currently after about 4-5 mm rainfall in past 24 hours. Overcast skies and medium winds. 2 young kids were fishing along the dock catching some small perch and putting them back. Asked us what we were doing so showed them, had them watch a few of our tests and give us their opinion of the readings, and gave them a postcard so they could look it up online later.

Very dry conditions in our region for the past few months. Today is very hot & humid with hazy cloud cover....calm winds and water. A lot of green algae bloom on either side of the dock along shoreline, more on the west than east. Weeds can be seen under the surface of the water reaching from bottom to near the surface where we test at the end of the dock. On my way back to the car some boaters who had been docked & having lunch asked about what I was doing so we had a 10 minute conversation about Water Rangers. They were very interested and were going to look up the site when they got home tonight. They commented how glad they were that this was all public domain information as they have tried getting any info from local conservation authorities and have been frustrated by lack of co-operation and unwlingness to share any data on lake and river quality tests.
Overcast skies, calm wind and water. Some green algae evident below water surface along the dock area. Some seagulls flying around and flock of crows on the shore in the park.
