Water high (sampling site partly flooded), running fast, brown, opaque.
Temperature of the water sample was 12 degrees using the thermometer and 13.2 degrees according to the conductivity meter. Conductivity 378 uS/cm.
Not sure what the plant is. Could it be water hemlock?
River high (sample site partly flooded), brown, surging.
Buzzard flew overhead. River water high, brown, flowing fast, small patches of foam in middle of stream.
Two swans near the bank, two circling overhead. Parakeets in trees. Fallen alder trunk in the water. Water quite high and running fast, brown, opaque.
River high, opaque, brown, running very fast and carrying logs and plant debris. Water sample cloudy. Sampling site flooded but was able to access from higher up the bank. Saw one pond skater and one moorhen, heard parakeets.

Water level low, fairly clear, flowing very slowly. Waterweed and lily leaves visible. Small fish and pond skaters seen close to bank. We met an angler who reported that his friend’s dog had recently been unwell after swimming in the river.
Slow flow, fairly clear, green, no odour or algae, normal water level. Long water grass and yellow water lilies visible, and pond skaters on the surface.
