Justina Dacey is currently investigating this issue.
Robert Storm Burks went out to investigate the severity of the bloom. He connected with Frank from the Boy Scout camp and reported that it is cyanobacteria and is most likely compromised of Micocystis sp. and Dolichospermum sp. though he cannot be certain unless verified. Both species are capable of producing toxins in the water. A sample was not collected then but was collected on 5/27 by Jimmy Orth. It was determined to not analyze sample for now and wait to see if bloom worsens.
