About

The CRCA conducts lake monitoring work at 5 lakes (Collins Lake, Colonel By Lake, Lower Rock Lake, Singleton Lake, and Upper Rock Lake) within the Cataraqui Region in May and August. We are testing the Water Rangers test kits with some of our other equipment such as a dissolved oxygen and temperature YSI unit that also measures pH, conductivity, and turbidity. In addition we take water samples for phosphorus, calcium, metals, nitrites, nitrates, and chloride. We have almost 200 lakes in our region and are always looking for volunteers to help us collect data. We have a Water Rangers test kit available for those who are interested in helping out. Please contact us for more information on how you can get involved in monitoring the health of your lake!
